Integrating VEC Fleet with Comsatel

The same GPS that reports to SUTRAN, also working for your fleet management.

// ABOUT THE INTEGRATION

Comsatel is a Peruvian tracking and telematics provider for fleets, with plans for vehicles and machinery. Its platform relays vehicle locations to SUTRAN and Osinergmin, as required by Peruvian regulations. VEC Fleet integrates with Comsatel to put that same data to work in day-to-day management.

For many fleets in Peru, GPS is installed to comply with regulations. With the integration, that same device also schedules maintenance, validates fuel and feeds the cost of each vehicle.

// PROCESS

How the Comsatel integration works

VEC Fleet pulls from Comsatel the timestamped position, odometer, speed and heading of each vehicle, identified by license plate or IMEI. Relaying data to regulators remains Comsatel's responsibility and does not change. VEC Fleet uses the data for the fleet's internal operations.

1

Keep using Comsatel

No need to switch providers. VEC Fleet connects to the Comsatel account your fleet already has up and running.

2

Our Integrations team connects it

The connection is made with automated connectors. No action is required from the customer during the process.

3

Position data reaches each vehicle

Once activated, data syncs continuously to give you full visibility in a single platform.

What the Comsatel integration enables

How regulatory GPS becomes a management tool.

01

Compliance and management with the same device

Comsatel reports to SUTRAN and VEC Fleet uses that data to manage the fleet.

02

Automatic mileage

Each vehicle's odometer updates without manual readings.

03

Maintenance by route

Maintenance services are scheduled based on the kilometers each vehicle actually drives.

04

Speeding events in the history

Speed from every record is available for driver management.

05

Validated fuel

Each fuel transaction is checked against the vehicle's position.

06

Cost per vehicle

Maintenance, fuel and traffic fines add up based on actual usage.

// FAQ

Comsatel FAQ

If you have any questions, write to us and a specialist will get back to you.

Does VEC Fleet work with the Comsatel GPS I already have installed?

Yes. VEC Fleet takes the data from your fleet's Comsatel devices and assigns it to each vehicle. No additional device is needed, and relaying to SUTRAN keeps working the same way.

Does the VEC Fleet integration affect what Comsatel sends to SUTRAN or Osinergmin?

No. Comsatel keeps relaying data to regulators. VEC Fleet only uses the data to manage maintenance, fuel, documentation and costs.
