Integrating VEC Fleet with Enex (Shell Card)

Enex Shell Card fuel transactions, reconciled and cross-checked against your fleet's operations.

// ABOUT THE INTEGRATION

Enex is Shell's licensee in Chile and manages Shell Card, the business fuel card that lets you set per-driver limits and anti-fraud rules. VEC Fleet integrates with Enex to receive every fuel transaction and add it to complete fleet management.

The integration is live in Chile, at transportation and automotive companies. Shell Card controls refueling at the station; VEC Fleet then checks whether that transaction makes sense given the vehicle's actual use.

// PROCESS

How the Enex integration works

VEC Fleet receives the transactions recorded with Shell Card, with their date, liters, and amount, and assigns them to each vehicle by its license plate. If the transaction reports the odometer, the fuel efficiency of each vehicle is calculated. The rules in VEC Fleet complement the ones you've already set up on the card.

1

Keep using Enex

No need to switch providers. VEC Fleet connects to the Enex account your fleet already has up and running.

2

Our Integrations team connects it

The connection is made with automated connectors. No action is required from the customer during the process.

3

Every fuel transaction reaches its vehicle

Once activated, data syncs continuously to give you full visibility in a single platform.

What the Enex integration enables

What VEC Fleet adds to Shell Card's controls.

01

Control before and after refueling

Shell Card sets limits at the station and VEC Fleet audits against actual use.

02

Reconciliation by vehicle

Each transaction is checked against the vehicle and the period.

03

Actual fuel efficiency

Using the odometer, VEC Fleet calculates kilometers per liter for each truck.

04

GPS validation

With Webfleet, GPS Chile, or another integrated provider, each transaction is checked against the location.

05

Abnormal consumption detected

VEC Fleet flags fuel efficiency deviations that a card rule can't see.

06

Fuel in total cost

Spend is added to each vehicle's maintenance and documentation.

How do I reconcile Enex Shell Card transactions by vehicle?

VEC Fleet receives each transaction recorded with Shell Card and assigns it to the vehicle by its license plate. From there you see consumption, fuel efficiency, and out-of-policy transactions.

If Shell Card already has limits and anti-fraud rules, what does VEC Fleet add?

The card controls at the moment of refueling. VEC Fleet cross-checks each transaction against the vehicle's mileage, location, and history, and detects deviations that only show up when you look at actual use.
